Pink Calendar and Day Planner
To find out what an application does you sometimes have to carefully read its description and perhaps looks up some reviews online. Other times you need only take a look at an application’s name and you can immediately realize what the application does. This is definitely the case with the Gerry Merriam-developed application Pink Calendar and Day Planner. As its name so adequately points out, it is a calendar and a day planner – it isn’t pink though, not by default anyway.
After you finish installing Pink Calendar and Day Planner on your Windows-powered computer you will notice a floating calendar on your desktop. You can drag and drop the calendar anywhere on the screen. By default, the background color of the calendar is yellow, or a light mustard – I’m not that good with colors. If you want a pink Pink Calendar and Day Planner, you can change the background color.
As a matter of fact you can change the color of multiple items. You can change the color of the text, background, Day Planner 1 and 2, and other items. You can also choose between several preset color schemes. The “Pinky” one is quite nice – and pink.
By default the floating calendar on your desktop displays the current month. Click the View button and you can view the whole year, this week, today, and your to do list. As the application’s name points out and as I’ve already mentioned above, Pink Calendar and Day Planner is also a day planner. You can set up to dos and write down notes and schedule reminders.
Pink Calendar and Day Planner has a handy trick up its sleeve: it can automatically open the website you specify at the time that you specify.
Besides the floating calendar on your desktop, after you install Pink Calendar and Day Planner you will also notice an icon in the system tray. The icon displays the day – it now displays 25 because today is the 25th of March.
So to sum it up, Pink Calendar and Day Planner displays a floating calendar on your desktop, lets you set up reminders, and can automatically open the web site your choosing at the time that you specify.
